Farley is generally in the San Francisco area but pops in and around the LA area once in awhile, in addition to the random road trip or exotic vacation.
The future…
To make it easier for friends and random curious people, I’m launching a service early 2010 that will show where I am on google maps right here on this page, live! Ok, well, I’m a little paranoid and don’t really want you KNOWING where I am every second of every day, so I may introduce some random or artificial delay of anywhere between 10 minutes and a few hours, plus I may randomly offset whatever detected location by a certain amount of artificial error on purpose… especially if I’m doing something or going somewhere that I don’t want everyone to know about. :)
I’ll be accomplishing this by using various geo-locating services combined with an application I’ve been writing for my iPhone and laptop (background apps).
It won’t be perfect… in fact I really don’t want it perfect on purpose but it’ll be neat! Most of the code I’ll be making available for everyone to use.
